What you probably don’t know is that there is a little city that goes by the same name. The city of Batman is situated next to the Batman River, in the Batman province in Turkey. Christopher Nolan and his team must have thought WTF when they were sued by the major of Batman for using the town’s name without their consent. The major claimed that the Batman trilogy was the cause of the high rate of suicides among women in Batman and demanded compensation. Maybe he was the Joker in disguise.
