How To Upload Videos To Instagram From Your Pc Using Paid Tools

    Use Third-party Tools

There are several web-based and downloadable tools that allow you to upload videos to Instagram from your pc. Most of them, however, charge a subscription fee. Some of these apps and tools are discussed briefly below

Later: Later allows you to schedule Instagram posts and the posts go live at your selected time. While there is a free membership that allows you to schedule up to 30 photos a month, video upload is not supported in the free membership. To use Later for video uploads, you will have to pay the $9 monthly subscription fee.

Sked Social: With Sked Social, you get to schedule both photo and video posts on Instagram from your pc but for a $20 monthly subscription or $200 if you pay for a year. This web-tool is targeted at business owners and is not ideal for a private user. It offers a lot more than post scheduling.

Iconosphere: This is another web-based tool targeted at business owners that wish to schedule Instagram posts via the web. It offers analytics and comments tracking as well as some other features that may interest business owners. You can also crop your photos with this tool but it does not have advanced editing features or filters.

Hopper HQ: This is another scheduling tool that allows you to post videos to Instagram from your pc. Files to be posted such as videos and pictures can be uploaded from your device, Dropbox, Google Drive, Google Photos, Box, URL or web search. Images that do not meet Instagram specifications can be edited using the Hopper HQ editor. Subscription for Hooper HQ costs $19 a month for 1 Instagram + 1 Facebook account + 1 Twitter account. If you pay the annual subscription fee, it becomes reduced to $16 a month.

Uplet (For Mac Only): This is an app that allows you to upload videos and photos to Instagram from your Mac only. Videos and photos are sent straight from your Mac to your Instagram profile with a caption. You only have to download the app and log in with your Instagram details. There are no editing features or filters in Uplet. Ensure your videos are no more than 60 secs as Uplet does not have in-app trimming features to trim videos that exceed 60 secs. It costs $19.95 for a personal license to use Uplet on 1 Mac.

Facebook Creator Studio: Recently, Facebook added native Instagram scheduling to their Creator Studio platform. This means that users with a business Instagram profile linked to a Facebook page can publish to Instagram from their PC. It is a very good option for posting to Instagram from PC or Mac for free but is very limiting if you manage mass Instagram content as there is no bulk upload option.

There are several other web-based tools that you can use for this same purpose but as you will have realized by now, there is usually a fee attached. If you aim to upload videos to Instagram from your PC without paying a dime, then the next paragraph is for you.

Uploading Videos To Instagram From Your PC For Free

First, you have to edit your video to make it Instagram worthy. Although you can do this on Instagram it’s much easier editing your videos with dedicated editing software and a mouse rather than using Instagram’s simple tools. There are several free video editing software that you can get. A very good one is ShotCut. It has all the features that you may require for your Instagram video editing. Once you are done editing the video using any video editing software of your choice, it is time to export it. Ensure the video is in the mp4 format and set the height and width to the same value so the video is square.

Also, change the aspect ratio to 1:1 Square aspect ratio which is the standard square format on the Instagram feed. Other aspect ratios you can use are 1.91:1 Landscape aspect ratio which is similar to 16:9 widescreen format and 4:5 Portrait aspect ratio which is slightly taller than the standard square. Once this is done, it is time to upload the video to Instagram. To upload your edited video from your pc to Instagram, create a Dropbox account and download the desktop app. Once the Dropbox is installed, upload the video to Dropbox. While Dropbox will appear just like any other folder in Windows Explorer, the major difference lies in that anything placed in the Dropbox folder will be automatically uploaded to the cloud and can be accessed from any device with an internet connection.

Once the video has been successfully uploaded to the Dropbox cloud, download and install the Dropbox app on your computer and log into your Dropbox account. Once you are logged in, find the video you just uploaded and tap it just once. After that, tap the down arrow on the top right and select ‘Export’. Apply any effect you want to the video and select a frame to use as cover. Add a caption and share your video to Instagram.

Uploading videos to Instagram from your pc is very easy only if you know how to go about it. The guide provided in this article teaches how to do this for free and without stress.
